The First Lady, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara as she stepped from the Airbus A 380 Air France:

The First Lady, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara sponsored, on Tuesday, Jan. 28th, 2013, the first inaugural flight of the A 380 Airbus to Côte d'Ivoire. The Airbus A380 is the largest transport aircraft of modern times. This maiden flight is a first in the history of modern aviation in Côte d'Ivoire and hence in West Africa. It was around 19 pm GMT Air France’s aircraft landed on the Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport tarmac. On board, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara in the company of Air the CEO of France, Frédéric GAGEY and many investors who’ve made the trip to Abidjan for the Invest in Côte d’Ivoire Forum (ICI 2014).
As as she stepped from the plane, the First Lady shared her feelings with the press: "I wanted to tell you that I am very happy to be back in Abidjan. We had a very good flight with a nice staff and very competent. But above all I am very proud that the A380 flight lands for its maiden flight in Cote d'Ivoire, Francophone and West Africa. I would also like to congratulate the officials of Air France for taking this initiative which will boost the economic development in Côte d'Ivoire."

Prime Minister Daniel Kablan Duncan said he is proud that Côte d'Ivoire is the first destination of the flight of the Airbus A 380. He also revealed that the flight had nearly 420 people who’ve come to the Inivest in Côte d’Ivoire Forum.
Meanwhile Gaoussou Touré, Minister of Transport, revealed that the coming of the largest commercial carrier has been an idea of the First Lady. He wanted to thank "following and supporting this project."
Frederick GAGEY, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Air France, recalled the historical ties and trust that bind Côte d'Ivoire and Air France.
Let note that the Airbus A380 is a very wide-body, long-haul four double-deck civilian airliner made by Airbus’ civil aircrafts, a subsidiary of Airbus Group. It has a maximum speed of 1020 km / h. The Airbus A380 is 73 m long and a 80 m wide. It can cover a distance of 15,700 km.
