Fight against child labor

She did not want to make the trip to San Pedro without sharing her ideals with her sisters of Bas- Sassandra . First Lady Dominique Ouattara met on Saturday, May 17th, 2014, at the Cultural Center of San Pedro, the women of this seaside city. And as to usual, she made the trip with hands overflowing of gifts. Thus, to her sisters, the First Lady offered food and non-food items worth FCFA 15 million. In addition to these in-kind donations she has offered CFA 5 million francs to women.

First Lady Dominique Ouattara then invited women to take up the fight against the phenomenon of child labor. "Child labor is a serious issue for our country. It is a threat to our country. It is also a threat to our children’s health. Help me solve this problem. Help us because a woman’s will is God’s will, "she invited her sisters. In addition, the First Lady announced, under a thunderous of applause , the grant in June by the Support Fund for Women of Côte d'Ivoire ( FAFCI ) of an envelope of CFA 50 million francs, for the women of the Bas Sassandra .

Anne Desirée Ouloto, Minister of Solidarity, Women, Family and Children thanked the First Lady for her gifts.
