The WORODOUGOU region
After the inauguration of the "Dominique Ouattara" urban health center, the First Lady Dominique Ouattara visited, on Saturday, July 25, 2015, the Regional Hospital (CHR) of Séguéla. A visit during which, the wife of the Head of State inaugurated the new blood unit of the Capital of the Worodougou. The First Lady was flanked by the President of the National Assembly, Guillaume Soro, Madame Raymonde Coffie Goudou, Minister of Health and Anne Desiree Ouloto, Minister of Solidarity, Family, Women and Children .
Arriving around 12 am at CHR 30, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara made first visit to the 59 victims of a traffic accident that happened in Djarabanan, a town 25 km from Séguéla. Sadness could be read on every face on this occasion. As a caring mother, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara has asked about the health of each of the victims lying on mats and mattresses on the floor. Touched by so much suffering, she offered CFA francs 2 million to be fairly distributed between the patients. After visiting the victims of the road accident, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara visited the blood unit.
After a guided tour, the First Lady gave the reasons for the creation of this new blood center. "Since I was First Lady, I have made health a priority of my actions. In agreement with Madame Raymonde Coffie Goudou, Minister of Health and the fight against AIDS, we could equip this morning this health center. And we have just inaugurated a blood transfusion unit. This is something very important because blood is needed to treat the injured, pregnant women, and sometimes to give life. So I came to encourage the efforts of Madam Minister of Health by coming to inaugurate myself this blood unit. I also have come to visit the sick and wounded who made a road accident this morning. These are women and children. I have been sad to see such a scenario which saddened me greatly. I think they will get well because they are well taken on and well cared for. And I wish them a goo recovery, "wished Mrs. Dominique Ouattara.
