Anono and Treichville

The opportunity of the official launch of the sanitary operation called "Grand Ménage" in Anono, a village in the commune of Cocody and on “Avenue 11” in Treichville, on March 4th, 2017, the sponsor of this operation against the unhealthiness, First Lady Dominique Ouattara has taken the commitment to donate food to the inhabitants of Anono and Avenue 11. This promise of Madame Dominique Ouattara was kept this Wednesday, March 15th, 2017.

Indeed, although traveling out of the country at this time, the wife of the head of state has sent her closest collaborators to these populations to fulfill the commitment she had made there a few weeks ago. Mrs. Dominique Ouattara donated food and non-food worth 20 million CFA francs to the populations of Anono and Avenue 11 of Treichville. These include 155 bags of rice, 150 cartons of oil, 100 cartons of tomato, 100 cartons of pasta, 300 cartons of peas, 1000 toys and 200 cartons of biscuits for the children of Anono and of “Avenue 11”.

Taking the floor on this occasion, Nadine Sangaré, Director of Humanitarian Action in the First Lady's Cabinet, said that First Lady Dominique Ouattara was keen to honor her promise to the inhabitants of Anono, and Avenue 11 of Treichville at the launch of the "Grand Ménage" Operation. Mrs. Nadine Sangaré said that the benefactor urges people to "engage" with the Minister of Health, Environment and Sustainable Development, in order to fight effectively against the galloping insalubrity in the District of Abidjan as well as in the cities of the interior of Côte d’Ivoire.
