One of the highlights of this celebration of the International Women's Day in Adzopé, the capital of the Mé Region, was a support motion by the women of the region to the presidential couple for their actions in favor of development. This motion would have gone unnoticed had it not been for the crisis context that Côte d'Ivoire experienced just after the October 2010 presidential election. And the mistaken idea that the Attié country would be in the pay of a political party. Well, the women of the region of Adzopé swept away all these received ideas, this Friday, March 10th, 2017, during the festivities of the International Day of Women. Thus, through their spokesperson, Mrs. Kouamé Edith, these women thanked the President of the Republic Alassane Ouattara for his actions in favor of the development of the region. They also praised the actions of the First Lady, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, for taking action for their socio-economic development. "(…) Indeed, the acts of development for the happiness of Ivorians, which he has taken and continues to take, are no longer counted, as they are visible, patent, indisputated and indisputable.

These acts have brought back peace and positively changed the image of the country in just a few short years.

The Mé Region has also been a major beneficiary of these development projects in many sectors. (…) For all these reasons, we ask you to be our testify to your husband in order to show him our attachment and our infinite gratitude for these acts of great affection and mark of confidence.

Tell your husband to keep his courage at the controls of his ship when he has to face the opposite winds, for the women of the Mé are with him, and nothing can happen to those for whom women pray. Let him be assured of our complete readiness to accompany him and to support him in his actions.

The difficulties that may arise in his path will not stop his march, they are trials that will grow his soul.

May God bless your couple and strengthen you in the continuity of your good actions in order to preserve the future of Côte d'Ivoire, our beloved country, "said Mrs. Kouame Edith on behalf of the women of the Mé.
