First Lady Mrs. Dominique Ouattara has sponsored, Friday, December 20, 2013 the opening ceremony of the fourth edition of the Junior Ambassadors’ Camp of Excellence of the WAEMU integration. Initiated by “Déni Show”Association of Burkina Faso the objective of this competition is to reward the best girl pupils who succeeded to the secondary school entrance examination of all the countries of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU). Ten (10) countries are concerned by this edition which takes place from December 18 to 28 in Côte d’Ivoire. Fervent advocate of women’s empowerment, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara wished to show her support for girls. She offered CFA francs two (02) million to the prize winners. In addition, the First Lady donated a computer and a lot of books to the junior ambassadors. And to set the tone for the end year celebrations, the wife of the head of state invited her goddaughters to the Christmas tree of Children of Africa Foundation that will be held Saturday 21, December, 2013, at the Presidential Palace in Plateau (the business district of Abidjan).
