The Children of Africa Foundation has officially launched this Tuesday, September 11, 2018, its school kits distribution campaign for the start of the 2018-2019 school year. For this year, the charity Foundation will graciously offer 15,000 school kits to schoolchildren across the country. The launching ceremony of this campaign to support destitute children has taken on a special character this year. Indeed, in addition to the launch of the caravan to provide schooling assistance to little children, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara inaugurated the new school of the MICAO. Named after the Founding President of Children of Africa, the smart green school Dominique Ouattara or EPP Dominique Ouattara is a revolutionary school powered by solar energy and has six (6) classes, a kindergarten, a canteen, a computer room and a basketball court. It was built by la Fondation Volontaire d’Afrique and its partners.
The children of the EPP Dominique Ouattara and surrounding schools had the opportunity to participate in games with the Bouldegums clowns and to party with the artists of the moment. In addition, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara made a donation to school children of the MICAO district. In fact, Ivorian Mother Teresa donated 1,500 school kits consisting of school bags and school supplies, including 500 school kits for students of the EPP Dominique Ouattara. In addition to these gifts, she offered food and cleaning products for the school’s canteen, as well as equipment for kindergartens and educational and sports equipment for the neighborhood’s children. The value of these donations in kind is estimated at 108 million F CFA. In addition, she offered 6, 500,000 CFA francs to the children and the local population. In total the donations worth 114, 500,000 CFA francs.
