The First Lady, Dominique Ouattara, President of Children of Africa Foundation, visited the construction site of the reception center of Bouaké on Friday, March 08, 2019, after the International Women’s Day celebrations.
Several officials came with the First Lady, including Mrs. Kandia Kamissoko Camara, Minister of National Education; Mrs. Bakayoko Ly Ramata, Minister of Family, Women and Children; Mr. Adama Koné, Minister of Transport and Mr. Sidi Toure, Minister of Communication and Media.
Mrs. Dominique Ouattara wanted to see how construction work is going on. The First Lady and members of her delegation were able to take a guided tour led by architect Adou Benié. The personalities visited the works already done and those in progress. Mrs. Dominique Ouattara left the site very satisfied.
After the visit, architect Adou Benié presented the features of the center. “We are building the children’s shelter of Bouaké, it consists of offices, bedrooms and classrooms, places for relaxation and sport. At the entrance of the center, you have on your right the management office, the office of the doctor and the psychologist, a polyvalent room, the dining room and the kitchens. On your left we have the bedrooms. The first block of accommodation is that of the supervisors. Then we have three other blocks opposite to the TV room and the library. In the center, we have an alley that will lead to an esplanade and the multipurpose room. At the back we have the sports field. It’s a multidisciplinary field, “he explained.
Note that the construction of this structure to be built on an area of 3 hectares, were launched on October 4, 2018. The capacity of this center is between 60 and 70 residents.
