On her way to Tafire : The First Lady pays her respects at the tomb of former Prime Minister Amadou Gon Coulibaly in Korhogo

On her way to Tafire, the First Lady of Côte d’Ivoire, Mrs Dominique Ouattara, made a stopover in Korhogo on Saturday June 15, 2024, to pay her respects at the tomb of former Prime Minister Amadou Gon Coulibaly, who passed away in July 2020.

This act of remembrance, marked by deep emotion, shows Mrs Ouattara’s attachment and respect for the memory of the former Prime Minister, an important and highly respected political figure in the country. Amadou Gon Coulibaly, also a native of Korhogo, had played a crucial role in the development of Côte d’Ivoire before he died.

The First Lady’s visit to Korhogo comes as part of her trip to Tafire, where she is due to preside over the official celebration of the 2024 edition of Mother’s Day. Mrs Ouattara’s presence at the former Prime Minister’s grave was an opportunity to pay tribute to a man whose commitment to the country and loyalty to President Alassane Ouattara will always be remembered.
