Air transport: The First Lady returns to Abidjan aboard Air Côte d’Ivoire’s brand new Airbus A330-900neo

On Thursday, September 4, 2025, the First Lady, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, returned to Abidjan aboard the latest Airbus A330-900neo acquired by the national airline, Air Côte d’Ivoire.

Upon her arrival at the Felix Houphouët-Boigny Airport in Abidjan, she was warmly welcomed by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé, as well as several members of the government and other dignitaries.

At the end of her maiden flight, the First Lady praised the performance of the pilots, and the captain in particular, for the exceptional quality of the journey. “We had an excellent flight aboard our national airline’s very first Airbus A330-900neo. From Toulouse to Abidjan, in addition to the comfort, there was no turbulence because the captain and his team were magnificent. The meal was also wonderful. I would like to congratulate the entire Air Côte d’Ivoire team,” she said.

The First Lady also encouraged people to choose Air Côte d’Ivoire for their trips to France. She concluded by thanking the dignitaries present at the reception. “And I encourage you to travel with Air Côte d’Ivoire. I would also like to thank all the dignitaries for the warm welcome,” said the First Lady.
