Educational Cooperation: First Lady Dominique Ouattara Receives Tanya Saade Zeenny

First Lady Dominique Ouattara received Tanya Saade Zeenny, President of the CMA CGM Foundation, in audience at the Presidential Residence on Thursday, April 23, 2026. During the meeting, discussions focused on topics of common interest, particularly initiatives in support of education, a key sector for the development of children and the country. Following the audience, Tanya Saade Zeenny expressed her admiration for the First Lady’s commitment: “You know, I have great respect for the First Lady and all that she undertakes here in Côte d’Ivoire. I had the opportunity to meet her in France, and I came here to meet her in Côte d’Ivoire so that we could work together on education. It’s a subject that is very close to my heart.” I chair our group’s foundation, the CMA CGM Foundation, and we are very active in education. So, this is so we can move forward with her on a great project related to education. Deeply committed to this cause, the President of the CMA CGM Foundation also commended the initiatives undertaken in Côte d’Ivoire to improve access to quality education.

This meeting paves the way for a promising collaboration between the two institutions, with the aim of strengthening educational initiatives and offering children better prospects for the future. The First Lady, for her part, thanked her host for the visit and for her interest in the social initiatives carried out in Côte d’Ivoire. Since 2019, Mrs. Tanya Saade Zeenny has chaired the CMA CGM Foundation, which provides humanitarian aid in crisis situations and is committed to education for all. Dedicated to equal opportunities worldwide, Tanya Saade Zeenny is the driving force behind the WE – Women Empowerment by CMA CGM program, which aims to promote female leadership within the Group. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Franco-Lebanese Chamber of Commerce and an active member of the Top 20.
