Meeting: The First Lady Meets with the Mayor of Assinie-Mafia

First Lady Dominique Ouattara received Mr. Pierre Magne, Mayor of Assinie-Mafia, at her offices in Cocody on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.

This meeting provided an opportunity for the mayor to review the actions and achievements undertaken for the benefit of the residents of the seaside town, as well as to discuss development prospects for 2026 and 2027 with the First Lady.

According to the Mayor, this visit is part of an ongoing process of monitoring and consultation with the First Lady, who is particularly attentive to issues concerning Assinie-Mafia. He stated: “The First Lady is very attached to Assinie and takes a great interest in everything that happens there.” Therefore, every year, as Mayor, I come to see her to update her on everything we have accomplished in Assinie for the local population and residents. We review all these issues. I also discuss our plans for 2026 and 2027. So, I wanted to inform her of everything that is being done and also gather her advice, opinions, and recommendations on how we can improve the lives of the people there.”

Following the discussions, the First Lady commended the Mayor’s commitment and dynamism to local development, as well as the efforts undertaken to improve the living conditions of the population.
