2014 Ramadan

It has become a tradition. As in previous years, the First Lady Dominique Ouattara wished to express her solidarity and support to the Muslim community during the month of fasting. To do this, the wife of the Head of State has offered in-kind donations valued at F CFA 50 million to help them stay healthy and safe during the month of Ramadan.
These donations composed of rice bags; sugar cartons; milk and pasta cartons have been offered to more than fifty associations and Islamic NGOs, mosques in the city of Abidjan and the interior and to religious leaders as well.
The donation ceremony of these gifts took place on Saturday, July 5, 2014, at the Office of the First Lady located in Cocody. Mrs. Dominique Ouattara was represented by Mrs. Sita Ouattara, Keïta’s wife, the younger sister of President Alassane Ouattara.
Mrs. Sita Keita the representative of Dominique Ouattara recalled in her speech the meaning of the gifts of the First Lady. "As usual, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara has a thought for her Muslim brothers and sisters in Cote d'Ivoire during the Holy Month of Ramadan. To express this thought into action, she gives them food to address the fasting month with serenity, since her husband, President Alassane Ouattara has acceded to the highest office in the country. This year, the First Lady did not want to depart from the rule. She decided once again to assist Muslims during this period of intense piety, "she has said.
