La Première Dame, Dominique Ouattara offre des dons d’une valeur de 145 millions F CFA

The First Lady Dominique Ouattara has offered in-kind donations worth CFA francs 145 million to the people of Akoupé, Wednesday, May 6, 2015, ahead of the state visit to the Mé region. The donation ceremony took place in the yard of the Prefecture. Coming early from all the sub-prefectures of Akoupé, the people did not want to be told the event, for it was worth the trip. The numerous gifts of the First Lady have literally flooded the yard of the prefecture. Of a total value of CFA francs 145 million, these gifts consider many life domains of the populations of Akoupé. Thus, the First Lady offered agricultural equipment to women's cooperatives and groups. Indeed, thanks to this equipment, the cooperatives and associations of women working in agriculture can now increase their productivity. To that end, they received one tractor; 4 motor-tracks; 6 rice and corn huskers, maize and cassava flour grinders; 100 cassava pressers and many other gifts. The restorers, traders, hairdressers and seamstresses of the department have also received equipment to boost their activities.
Women's centers have also received equipment. In the area of education, the kindergarten of the department received outdoor games, mats and little tables for children. In the area of health, the First Lady offered an ambulance to the General Hospital of Akoupé. The health centers of the department also received sanitation equipment to strengthen their technical platforms. In addition, the First Lady offered basinets, incentive kits for antenatal care and cartons of baby care products to the various centers. It is imperative for Mrs. Dominique Ouattara that future mothers regularly attend the maternities to curb child and maternal mortality.
