As a prelude to the sixth gala dinner of the Prix Ivoire 2013

First Lady Dominique Ouattara received a delegation of writers and the Minister of Culture and Francophonie
First Lady Dominique Ouattara received on Thursday, November 14th, 2013 at her office a delegation of writers accompanied by the Minister of Culture and Francophonie, Maurice Kouakou Bandama and Isabelle Kassi Fofana, President of the “Akwaba Culture” Association and initiator of the sixth gala dinner of the Ivoire Akwaba Culture Award for African literature in French. The Minister of Culture was accompanied by writers Monénembo Tierno , Mrs. Ken Bugul Véronique Tadjau and Mrs. Mariam Ndoye , winner of the 2012 Ivoire Award.

In one hour, the First Lady exchanged with herguests. On the agenda: the organization of the 6th gala dinner of the Ivoire Award for African Literature in French. Taking advantage of this opportunity, Dominique Ouattara shared her passion for culture with her guests.

Thus, the First Lady congratulated Minister Maurice Kouakou Bandama and Isabelle Fofana, President of the Akwaba Culture for the daily work done for the development of culture in Côte d'Ivoire.
In addition, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara revealed to her guests, the introduction of three ( 03) mobile libraries, and the equipment of libraries in several schools in the framework of the activities of Children of Africa Foundation.
To Tierno Monénembo Mrs. Mariam Ndoye, Mrs. Ben Bugul and Mrs. Véronique Tadjau, the First Lady said, "They are famous writers and we are very proud."
Isabelle Kassi Fofana presented the "Akwaba Culture".

First Lady Mrs. Dominique Ouattara gave four million CFA francs to the delegation , one million CFA francs for the future winner of the 2013 edition of Ivoire Award who will be known on Saturday (23rd). In return, the writers offered books to the First Lady.

Maurice Kouakou Bandama , Minister of Culture and the Francophonie thanked the First Lady for her commitment to culture.

"On behalf of all the writers present here, we say thank you to the First Lady for all she does for Côte d'Ivoire and Culture. We have always had the support of Mrs. Dominique Ouattara. It is thus right that the First Lady is considered a friend of arts. We say thank you Mom for what she does for us. "It The 6th Gala Dinner of the Ivoire Akwaba Award for French African literature will take place this Saturday.
