The First Lady Dominique Ouattara received this Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the Presidential Residence in the Riviera Golf, the Group of the Wives of the Heads of Diplomatic Missions accredited to Côte d'Ivoire (GECMD). With a total of sixteen (16) members, this association, led by its President Mrs. Samah Eriqat Yakhlef, the wife of the Ambassador of Palestine, wanted to present their structure tp Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, but also and especially to draw on the experience of their host. For nearly an hour, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara shared in all humility her experience in humanitarian field with her visitors. The construction of the Mother-Child Hospital of Bingerville, the support and assistance to women through the Support Fund for the women of Côte d'Ivoire (FAFCI) and the fight against Child Labor are some of the actions outlined by Mrs. Dominique Ouattara.
So Mrs. Dominique Ouattara has revealed to her guests that she created Children of Africa Foundation in 1998 to help vulnerable children and women. "The Foundation operates on private donations through goodwill funds and with the help of volunteers. Our activities cover 11 countries in Africa and we work in four sectors which are: health; education; subsidized centers, including social assistance to women, "she revealed, before adding: "The most important project of the Foundation to date, is the construction of the Mother-Child Hospital of Bingerville. Currently under construction, the necessary funds for its construction and equipment have been raised through the contributions of our generous donors for this purpose during dinner charity galas.
"Taking this opportunity, the First Lady, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara has invited her guests to support her project for the construction of the Mother-Child Hospital of Bingerville.
