Audience: Farewell to Mr. Daniel Karbownik, Vice President of the Accor Group for Sub-Saharan Africa, by Dominique Ouattara

On Wednesday, December 10, 2025, First Lady Dominique Ouattara received        Mr. Daniel Karbownik, Vice President of the Accor Group for Sub-Saharan Africa, at her offices in Cocody.

This meeting was held at the initiative of Mr. Karbownik, who came to announce to the First Lady his retirement planned for the end of this year. The guest of the day also expressed his gratitude for the constant support he has received during his many years of collaboration in Côte d’Ivoire. “First of all, it was to inform her of my retirement at the end of this year. To thank her for all her support over the years. We have worked together. And then to say goodbye and invite her to my farewell party tomorrow, even though I know it’s a very busy week,” Mr. Karbownik revealed after the meeting.

The First Lady praised Mr. Karbownik’s remarkable career, particularly his decisive role at the head of the Sofitel Abidjan Hotel Ivoire. Under his leadership, the establishment regained its former prestige, once again becoming one of the jewels of the Ivorian hotel industry.
