Audience: First Lady Dominique Ouattara receives singer Lionell
The First Lady, Mrs Dominique Ouattara, granted an audience to singer and performer Paul Lionel Sahouin, better known as Lionell, on Tuesday September 24, 2024, at her offices in Cocody.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the organization of the artist’s first concert, scheduled for November 1.
The Yamoussoukro-born artist took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the wife of the Head of State, thanking her for the support she has shown him throughout his musical career.
During their exchange, the First Lady congratulated Lionell on his remarkable career. She also expressed her support for his forthcoming concert.
On leaving the audience, Lionell explained the purpose of the meeting: “We’re here this morning to thank the First Lady, because in 2016, she trusted us by inviting us to the First Ladies’ Dinner. That was eight (08) years ago, and since then we’ve seen a clear evolution in our career. So, with the organization of our 1st concert, we thought it was right to come and thank her for everything she has given us, but above all, for the influence she has brought to our career. And we took advantage of this meeting to inform her of the organization of our first concert, in order to receive her blessings”, he declared.
This audience shows Mrs Dominique Ouattara’s commitment to Ivorian culture and artists, and marks a new stage in Lionell’s career, as he prepares to thrill his fans at his inaugural concert.
Lionell, a talented self-taught singer, began his artistic career with the children’s choir of the Basilica of Yamoussoukro, where he excelled as a soprano.
