Audience: The First Lady, Mrs Dominique Ouattara, exchanges views with former international football player Yaya Touré

The First Lady, Mrs Dominique Ouattara, received former Ivorian soccer Yaya Touré on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

The meeting, which took place in the First Lady’s office, witnessed the presence of Mrs Gineba Touré, Yaya Touré’s wife, and their daughter.

 For the former captain of the Elephants of Côte d’Ivoire, it was above all a courtesy visit to the wife of the Head of State. He also took the opportunity to introduce his daughter to her, and to discuss other matters. “This is a courtesy visit. I can’t pass through Abidjan without coming to see our mother. It’s always a pleasure for me. I wanted also to introduce her to my daughter, because she wanted to see the First Lady she very much admires. I also talked to her about other subjects”, Yaya Touré explained.

Yaya Touré is currently assistant coach of the Saudi Arabian national soccer team alongside Roberto Mancini.
