The delegation included Prométhée, the group’s lead vocalist whose real name is Koué Fouelo Xavier Martial, Patrick Zokora and Odjé Nadraud Prince Ismael, the group’s leader better known by his nickname Isso. They were also accompanied by Mr. Joseph Krasso, their general manager.
The meeting was marked by rich exchanges on the evolution of their musical career, as well as the motivations that led the group to release their emblematic song “Debout”, to encourage Côte d’Ivoire’s team at the ACN 2023.
During the audience, the group shared with the First Lady the reasons that led them to create this musical work, which has become an anthem to galvanize the Ivorian nation around its national team. They also spoke of the challenges they have encountered along the way, and their desire to continue raising the Zouglou flag at national and international level.
Mrs Ouattara praised their contribution to Ivorian culture, and expressed her gratitude for the song “Débout”, which has brought together the Ivorian people. She also stressed the importance of their support for social actions, notably those carried out by the Children Of Africa Foundation. The Revolution Group reiterated its willingness to support the Foundation’s initiatives, particularly those aimed at improving the living conditions of children and disadvantaged populations.
