Audience:Dominique Ouattara exchanges views with Ndeye Coumba Diop of the ILO

The First Lady of Côte d’Ivoire, Mrs Dominique Ouattara, received Mrs Ndeye Coumba Diop, Country Director of the International Labor Organization (ILO), on Tuesday March 4, 2025, at her offices in Cocody.

Mrs Ndeye Coumba Diop is a woman committed to the fight against the worst forms of child labor. Despite the universal ratification of conventions against this scourge, one child in ten in the world is still forced to work instead of playing and learning, a situation which is unacceptable according to the ILO representative.

During the meeting, Mrs Dominique Ouattara reaffirmed her support for this essential commitment.  The First Lady, through her Children of Africa Foundation and her many actions for child protection, remains a key figure in the fight against child labor in Côte d’Ivoire and beyond.
