Death of former Minister Mathieu Ékra
First Lady Dominique Ouattara presented the Presidential couple condolences to the Ékra and allies family, following the death of Mathieu Vangah Ékra, Honorary Ombudsman, on Friday, March 20, 2015, at the family home of the illustrious disappeared in Cocody. Former minister and longtime close associate of Félix Houphouët-Boigny, Mathieu Vangah Ékra passed away, on Sunday, February 22, 2015 in Bonoua, his hometown. Faced to the loss of this great servant of the State, the presidential couple by the voice of the First Lady Dominique Ouattara held to provide support to the bereaved family. So it is at the head of a large delegation composed of several government ministers including Jêrome Patrick Achi, Minister of Economic Infrastructures; Raymonde Coffie Goudou, Minister of Health and the fight against HIV / AIDS; Anne Désirée Ouloto, Minister of Solidarity, Family, Women and Children; Lamine Affoussiata Bamba, Minister of Communication and Marcel Amon Tanoh-Head of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic that the wife of the Head of State visited the home of the Ékra family. The honor went to Patrick Achi, Minister of Economic Infrastructure to translate the message of compassion of the Presidential couple. From the outset, he indicated that the First Lady came to present the condolences of the presidential couple. According to him, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara was informed like all Côte d'Ivoire of the terrible new of the death of the former collaborator of Félix Houphouët-Boigny. Also, on the occasion of the of condolences, the First Lady wanted to come and translate the pain that smote the presidential couple as the former Minister of Houphouet-Boigny died. For Patrick Achi, this action must be understood also through fraternal relations that have always linked the illustrious disappeared and the presidential couple, as well as some members of the Ékra family.
