Death of Hadja Mabintou Cissé: First Lady Dominique Ouattara alongside Grand Chancellor Ally Coulibaly and his wife

On Wednesday, March 11, 2026, the First Lady, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, visited the residence of the Grand Chancellor of the National Order, Ally Coulibaly, located at Riviera Golf, to offer her condolences and those of her husband, President Alassane Ouattara, following the death of Hadja Mabintou Cissé, mother of his wife.

The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Mamadou Touré, Minister of Youth Promotion, Professional Integration, and Civic Service, as well as many other personalities who came to show their support for the bereaved family.

During the condolence ceremony, Minister Touré Mamadou, spokesperson for the First Lady’s delegation, recalled the deep bonds of friendship that have united the Ouattara and Coulibaly families for more than thirty years. He said that the wife of the Head of State had come, as a member of the extended Coulibaly family, to share in their grief and show her solidarity during this painful time.

He also mentioned the close relationship between Mrs. Dominique Ouattara and Mrs. Koroutoumou Coulibaly, wife of the Grand Chancellor and daughter of the deceased, emphasizing that Hadja Mabintou Cissé was also considered a mother-in-law to the presidential couple, such was the strength of the ties between the two families.

On behalf of the Coulibaly family and related families, Imam Cissé Djiguiba, spokesperson for the bereaved family, expressed his deep gratitude to the presidential couple for this gesture of humanity, brotherhood, and solidarity.

The First Lady also provided financial support of five million CFA francs to the bereaved family.

 Imam Cisse Djiguiba invited all those present to pray for the deceased in order to pay her a final tribute in faith and serenity.
