Death of Mrs. Ouattara Gaoussou: First Lady Dominique Ouattara offers her condolences to the Ouattara family

On Monday, December 15, 2025, the First Lady, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, visited the Ouattara family residence in Deux Plateaux to offer her sincere condolences and those of her husband, President Alassane Ouattara, following the death of Mrs. Ouattara Gaoussou born as Nicolas Liliane Juliette Armand, Doctor of Economics.

The deceased, who passed away on December 11, 2025, in Abidjan, was the mother of Mrs. Sarrahn Teinin Ouattara, niece of the Head of State and current Director General of the National Waste Management Agency (ANAGED).

For this condolence visit, the First Lady was accompanied by a delegation including Mr. Touré Mamadou, Minister of Youth Promotion, Professional Integration, and Civic Service, spokesperson for the delegation, as well as several other dignitaries.

In these painful circumstances, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, through Mr. Touré Mamadou, expressed her sincere condolences and those of President Alassane Ouattara to the bereaved family. She recalled the close family ties that bind her to Mrs. Sarrahn Ouattara, daughter of the deceased and niece of the Head of State, emphasizing that she had come to “share in the mourning.” The First Lady also expressed her compassion and support for the Ouattara family and their relatives, who have been deeply affected by this loss.

On behalf of the Ouattara family, Mr. Moustapha Kondé expressed his gratitude to the First Lady and the President of the Republic, praising their presence and support since the announcement of the death.

In a gesture of solidarity, the First Lady donated five million (5,000,000) CFA francs to help the family welcome the many visitors and dignitaries expected to pay their respects.

Please note that condolences will be accepted from Sunday, December 14, to Monday, December 15, at the deceased’s home in Deux Plateaux. On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, a wake will be held at the Fraternité Saint-Dominique across from the Gendarmerie school. On Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 8 a.m., the body will be removed, followed by a requiem mass at the Saint-Jacques Parish in Deux Plateaux. The burial will take place in Fort-de-France, Martinique.
