Delivery of Gifts and Provision of FAFCI Checks in Aboisso
A historic event. The people of the Sanwhi have expressed their gratitude to the First Lady Dominique Ouattara for her social commitment. Indeed, thanks to the state visit in South Comoé, the Head of State's wife offered large donations to people in general and women in particular. So after Adiaké, Tiapoum and Grand-Bassam, it was the turn of Aboisso, hometown of Madame Henriette Konan Bédié, to receive the guess of honor in the South Comoé, on Tuesday, September 15, 2015. And as she knows so well, it’s with hands full of gifts that Mrs. Dominique Ouattara visited the city of her older sister, Henriette Konan Bédié. Indeed, as part of the delivery of the checks of the Support Fund for the Women of Côte d'Ivoire (FAFCI) and donations, she offered gifts in kind of more than 170 million CFA francs to the populations of the department. The delivery ceremony of these gifts took place at the Alexis Elleingand Etchê square.
Mrs. Dominique Ouattara has offered, on this occasion, equipment for cooperatives and groups of women operating in the field of agriculture. The traders, the restaurant managers, hairdressers and seamstresses received equipment to reinforce their business. In the social field, social centers and women's centers have received large donations. Mrs. Dominique Ouattara has offered educational and maintenance equipment to the nursery, primary, secondary and high schools schools of the department. She also provided food and kitchen utensils and food to Aboisso school canteens. In the area of health, the First Lady offered two (2) ambulances to the regional hospital (CHR) of Aboisso and to Urban Health Centre of Ayamé. In addition to these donations of health center vehicles, the First Lady has also offered biomedical equipment to various health centers of the department.
