La Première Dame, Dominique Ouattara fait des dons d’une valeur de plus de 100 millions F CFA

After Adiaké, the delegation of the Office of the First Lady Mrs. Dominique Ouattara has headed, on Saturday, September 12, 2015 to the locality of Tiapoum, a new department created in the "Adouvelê" kingdom of the N'zima people. Just like the day before, the emissaries of the First Lady were keen to translate into action the support and solidarity of Mrs. Dominique Ouattara to her brothers and sisters of Tiapoum. And that, ahead of the state visit in South Comoé. For the occasion, the “Fraternité” corner could not contain the flow of people.  The populations of Tiapoum department didn’t want to be told the event. They held through their mobilization, to express their appreciation and support to the Presidential Couple.

On behalf of the First Lady, Mrs Patricia Sylvie Yao, Director of the Cabinet of the Wife of the Head of State offered donations in cash and kind worth more than CFA francs 100 million to the population of the department. Indeed, the First Lady offered agricultural equipment for women’s cooperatives and groups, material and equipment to restaurant managers, business men, hairdressers and seamstresses. In addition, in the field of health, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara has offered a new ambulance to the General Hospital of Tiapoum and a biomedical equipment to enhance the care offer of this locality. In the area of ​​Education, kindergartens, secondary schools and high schools of the department have received significant educational and maintenance equipment. The value of these donations in kind: 110 million CFA francs. In addition to these in-kind donations, the First Lady has offered donations in kind worth 1,050,000 CFA to the populations present at the venue of the ceremony.

The total value of donations is estimated at CFA francs 110 million. In addition, Mrs. Yao Patricia Sylvie, Director of Cabinet of the First Lady Dominique Ouattara has revealed that the department Tiapoum will benefit during this state visit a budget of almost 50 million FCFA in the framework of the Support Fund for the Women of Côte d'Ivoire. This windfall will enable the women of the department to undertake income generating activities. In total, she has revealed, that from a budget of 8 billion FCFA, the FAFCI today enables more than 100,000 women to be financially independent and meet the needed of their families.
