Evenings of the 3rd Francophone Film Awards
After Dakar in 2013, Paris in 2014, the city of Abidjan was the capital of French cinema for nearly two weeks. Indeed, from November 23rd to December 5th, 2015, the 3rd Francophone film awards took place on the banks of the Ebrié lagoon to the delight of Ivorian moviegoes. Related events, next to official projections of 31 selected films, discussion meetings of the cinema were the menu of the 3rd edition of the Francophone cinema trophies. Thus, after nearly two weeks of projection and debate on the 7th French art, the winners of the award ceremony was held, on Saturday, December 5th, 2015 at the “Palais de la Culture” of Treichville. For the occasion many public figures and of the film world have traveled to Abidjan. A ceremony also enhanced by the presence of Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, the first lady of Côte d’Ivoire, Julie Gayet, director, producer and President of the 2015 edition of the Francophone Film Awards and the famous French animator Michel Drucker. During the award ceremony of the best French films, Dominique Ouattara, the First Lady has been honored by the Ivorian player Abdoul Karim Konaté. Indeed, the actor, winner of the Francophone trophies for the Best Actor for his role in the film "Run" of Philippe Lacôte, dedicated his award to the wife of the head of state for all her humanitarian projects for deprived children. An honor that has affected the Ivorian First Lady.
