Fight against Child Labor in cocoa

The First Lady, Dominique Ouattara, President of the National Oversight Committee for of Actions Against Exploitation, Trafficking and Child Labor (CNS) received in audience Mr. Richard Scobey, the new President of the World Cocoa Foundation (WCF), Friday, August 5th, 2016, at the presidential residence.
On the agenda of this meeting: the thorny issue of the fight against child labor in cocoa production, but also the remedial measures implemented by the Government to eradicate the phenomenon.
During about thirty minutes, the First Lady and her guests discussed all issues related to this issue.
 Thus, taking advantage of this first meeting, the President of the CNS congratulated Mr. Richard Scobey on his appointment at the head the WCF. She then referred to the commitments made by his predecessor in particular for the construction of school infrastructure in cocoa growing areas. The First Lady also discussed with her host, the next survey on Child Labor that will be led by the University of Chicago. She hoped that this survey will be taken into better conditions. Finally, she informed that Côte d'Ivoire has adopted a law against Trafficking.
Faced to all these measures the fight against the Child labor phenomenon, the new president of the WCF wished to express his admiration. "Mrs. Dominique Ouattara is one of the most impressive First Ladies that was given me to meet. Mrs. Michelle Obama, First Lady of the United States and her, share with a lot of passion and energy, their convictions. They have in common the passion of their commitments. I saw in her, a person strongly passionate by her commitment,
