Fighting Against Typhoid Fever
Mrs Dominique Ouattara, President of the Children Of Africa Foundation launched on Thursday 12 May 2016 in the stadium of the coastal town of Grand-Bassam, a free of charge big immunization campaign against the typhoid fever for children aged 3-5 years in the South-Comoé region. Thus, from Thursday 12 to Saturday 21 May, the Children Of Africa's doctors and volunteers will have the heavy burden to protect 10,000 children of the following localities: Grand-Bassam, Samo, Bonoua, Noé, Assinie-Mafia, Tiapoum, Adiaké, Maféré, Ayamé, Koukourandoumi et Aboisso. There are in all eleven (11) localities of this region which will be visited by the team of Mrs Dominique Ouattara's Foundation. The cost of this immunization campaign is F CFA sixty (60) million. The town of Grand-Bassam, the gateway to this region was of course the launching site of the immunization campaign in the presence of Prime Minister Daniel Kablan Duncan, Minister of Health and Public Hygiene, Mrs Raymonde Goudou Coffie, Minister of the Advancement of the Women, of the Family and the Child Protection, Mrs Yao Euphrasie Kouassi, Minister of Urban Sanitation, Mrs Anne Désirée Ouloto, the King of N'Zima Kotoko, His Majesty Awoulae TANOE Amon, the King of Moossou, His Majesty Nanan Kangah Assoumou and many people. It was with her hands full of presents that Mrs Dominique Ouattara travelled to Grand-Bassam. She made a donation in-kind of F CFA 20 million worth to the population of Grand-Bassam. She offered seesaws, toboggans, wooden horses, mats and small chairs to nursery schools. She also offered teaching material to the primary and secondary schools of the town. To complete the list of donations, she offered food to the school canteen of the town. The total amount of donations is F CFA 90 million.
