The First Lady Dominique Ouattara was on Wednesday 1st October 2014, the guest of honor at the opening ceremony of the 2nd edition of the International Exhibition of Health and Medical Equipment (MEXCI 2014). The second edition of this show organized by the Ministry of Health and the fight against AIDS, took place from October 1st to October4, 2014 at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny University of Cocody, and of which the theme was the Universal Health-Care Coverage (CMU ). At the opening ceremony held at the District Amphitheatre A, First Lady Dominique Ouattara wanted to share her belief in improving the living conditions of populations. "I have faith in the ability of all of us, to improve the living conditions of our populations" she said. But long before, the guest of honor of the exhibition highlighted the importance of this medical trade fair. According to Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, the exhibition of medical equipment and devices, together with a scientific forum will not only allow health professionals to immerse themselves in new biomedical technologies for better care for patients, but it will provide an appropriate response to the difficulties of access to care for populations, pushing scientific reflections on the Universal Health-Care Coverage (CMU). "(…) My dear husband, President Alassane Ouattara, has provided in his government program, to establish a system of Universal Health Insurance. This health insurance will ensure better access of the populations to health services, "she revealed. Continuing, the First Lady Dominique Ouattara explained that the show will open the door to many trading platforms for better medical care of populations.
