After the meetings with coffee and cocoa producers and the women of San Pedro, the First Lady visited this Saturday, May 17th, 2014 a field-school of Gabiadji cooperative. Long before Mrs. Dominique Ouattara expressed her solidarity to the people of Gabiadji. She provided food and non-food donations worth CFA 15 million francs. The distinguished host of Gabiadji then explained to the people the reasons of the meeting she had in San Pedro, with the producers of Côte d'Ivoire and the women of San Pedro. Taking this opportunity, she invited the people of this city to ban the use of child labor in coffee and cacao plantations.

Tagnon Maurice populations’ spokesman thanked Mrs. Dominique Ouattara for her humanitarian actions. He also reminded that the cooperative of the village has taken up in recent years, good agricultural practices. That’s the reason why the cooperative, he said, received last year, the Award of Excellence and the gold medal for best practices in agriculture sector.

After that meeting, First Lady Dominique Ouattara and the members of her delegation, composed of Ministers Anne Desirée Ouloto Moussa Dosso and Mamadou Coulibaly Sangafowa visited a cocoa – school of Gabiadji cooperative. In cocoa orchards, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara and her delegation conversed with Bernard Kouassi Kouamé, CEO of the cooperative. The latter argued that the plantation school has no other purpose than to train farmers. In addition, he welcomed the commitment of the First Lady against trafficking and child labor.
After this visit, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara offered CFA one million francs to the people present.
