Humanitarian action

In Abidjan as part of a gala match, former Brazilian international Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, better known as Ronaldinho, was received in audience by First Lady Dominique Ouattara, on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at the Presidential residence.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Danho Paulin Claude, Minister of Sport, Mr. Tibé Bi Goré Blaise, Honorary Consul of Côte d’Ivoire in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Mr. De Assis Moreira Roberto, Manager of the former football player, Salomon Benabou, President of the Sao Paulo Academy of Medicine.

Beyond its friendly aspect, the former PSG and FC Barcelona striker took advantage of this meeting to support the First Lady in her fight to improve the health of the mother and the child. In fact, the Ronaldinho Foundation, in partnership with the Prime Pharma Pharmaceutical Company, donated to Mrs. Ouattara’s Foundation one million tablets of Ferrozinc-C capsules for the treatment of anemia in children. The tablets will then be handed over to the Mother-Child’s Hospital in Bingerville to help mothers and children.

It should be noted that the mission of the Prime Pharma Pharmaceutical Company and the Ronaldinho Foundation is to fight against chronic African diseases such as viral hepatitis C, hepatitis B and anemia. After this audience the famous footballer will attend a football competition at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium at 16 hours.
