Inauguration of the renovated SOS Children’s Village of Abobo

The SOS Children's Village of Abobo now looks great. Established since 1971, this reception center, which now houses more than 114 children in difficult circumstances, has been completely rehabilitated thanks to national and international partners. After the completion of the renovation, like any new building, the renovated center was officially inaugurated
The inauguration ceremony of the Children's SOS Village of Abobo took place on Saturday, October 15, 2016, in the presence of Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, President of Children Of Africa Foundation and sponsor of the event. And to do things well, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara wanted to support the center after its renovation. To this end, she provided food and equipment, including school kits and school stuffs valued at 25 million CFAF, to the reception center. In addition, the godmother of the event also offered cash donations to the residents, and attendees of the ceremony, for a total amount of CFA francs 5,700,000. The value of donations in kind and in cash by the sponsor of the event, amounts to more than 30 million CFA francs. A contribution highly appreciated by the children of the SOS village who did show their gratitude through songs and rhythmic and colorful ballets.
Elsewhere Mrs. Dominique Ouattara also recalled her commitment to the welfare of children during this ceremony. A commitment that has led her to the creation of Children Of Africa Foundation in 1998. This is what gives evidence to the humanitarian work carried out by Children Of Africa Foundation for children since 1998. As a result, I am particularly attentive to the situation of the children of the SOS village of Abobo and their welfare.
