Meeting: The First Lady Receives the Consul General of Côte d’Ivoire in Paris

First Lady Dominique Ouattara received Mr. Issiaka Konaté, Consul General of Côte d’Ivoire in Paris, in audience on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at her offices in Cocody.

This meeting allowed the two officials to discuss the main issues related to the diplomatic and consular mission carried out with the Ivorian community in France. Discussions focused in particular on the actions undertaken to further improve the quality of services offered to Ivorians living within the consular district of Paris, as well as the challenges encountered in carrying out this mission.

Following the meeting, Mr. Issiaka Konaté indicated that the visit was primarily a courtesy call to the First Lady. “It was also an opportunity to present the work we are doing with the Ivorian community in our consular district in Paris, to outline the challenges we face, and to discuss ways to continue improving the service we provide to Ivorians,” he explained.

The diplomat also emphasized how important it is to receive support from the highest Ivorian authorities in carrying out his mission, particularly that of Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, whose attentiveness and availability he commended.

“It is always a pleasure to meet the First Lady. When we present her with matters of national interest, she demonstrates great willingness to listen.” She pays particular attention to these concerns and is always looking for ways she can contribute to improving what we do in service to our fellow citizens,” he said.

The First Lady, for her part, commended the dynamism and unwavering commitment of the Consul General of Côte d’Ivoire in Paris to the well-being of Ivorians in the diaspora. She also encouraged continued efforts to enhance the quality of services and support provided to compatriots living abroad.

This meeting shows the interest that Mrs. Dominique Ouattara has for the Ivorians diaspora and all initiatives aimed at strengthening ties between Ivorian communities abroad and their country of origin.
