Mourning: First Lady Dominique Ouattara offers empathy to her collaborator Nathalie Ekra Amon,

The family of Mrs. Nathalie Ekra wife Amon, head of the private secretariat of the First Lady, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara,has lost her father Mr. Ekra Issa on April 6 in his 88th year. Faced with this sad news, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara wanted to be at the side of her collaborator Mrs. Nathalie Ekra Amon and members of her family.

It is in this sense that the First Lady, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara heading a strong delegation, went to the family residence located in Koumassi on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

The delegation of the First Lady includes Mrs. Florence Achi, wife of the Prime Minister, Mrs. Patricia Ahoussou, wife of the President of the Senate, Mrs. Raymonde Goudou Coffie, Minister-Governor, Minister Cissé Ibrahima Bacongo, Mayor of Koumassi and spokesperson of the delegation, as well as several other personalities and members of the First Lady’s cabinet.

Speaking on behalf of the First Lady, Minister Cissé Bacongo, Mayor of the commune of Koumassi, expressed the condolences of the Presidential couple to Mrs. Nathalie Ekra and members of her family. The spokesman of the delegation of the First Lady insisted on the very close relationship between the Presidential couple and Mrs. Nathalie Ekra. Also, according to him, it is in the name of this fraternity that Mrs. Dominique Ouattara came to offer her empathy following the death of the father of her employee.  Because, he said, the wife of the Head of State considers herself as a member of the Ekra family. To express her compassion, the First Lady has made a contribution for the funeral arrangements.

On behalf of the bereaved family, Mr. Bessin Antoine, spokesman and 2nd deputy mayor of Prikro, expressed the gratitude of the family and the entire Andoh people to the presidential couple. He also said that the presence of the First Lady has the effect of comforting the grieving family.

Finally, the condolences ceremony will take place from Monday 10 to Tuesday 11 April 2023, at the home of the deceased in Koumassi. The raising of the body will take place on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny room of IVOSEP followed by the mortuary prayer at the Allah Akbar Mosque of Koumassi opposite the Pangolin housing estate. Finally, the burial will take place at the municipal cemetery of Koumassi.  The ceremonies of the 3rd, 7th and 40th day will take place at the home of the deceased located in Koumassi.
