Mrs. Dominique Ouattara shows solidarity with Muslims

Mrs. Dominique Ouattara to make donations worth 30 million CFA francs to Muslims

It is now a tradition. Like last year, the First Lady Dominique Ouattara decided to show, again this year, her solidarity with the Muslim community during the fasting month. For that reason, this year, the Lady with the heart of gold intends to offer donations 30 million CFA worth to members of the Muslim community. Such donations are made of 10 tons of rice, 10 tons of sugar, hundreds of milk cartons, and hundreds of boxes of sugar, pasta and prayer mats. The religious leaders, around twenty religious associations, fifty mosques and the press are the recipients of these gifts. Thus, the starting bang of the caravan of solidarity took place on Saturday, July 21, 2012 in her office in Cocody, Abidjan during a ceremony with a strongly religious character. More than two dozens of Muslim religious associations had the opportunity to benefit from the generosity of the First Lady.  Being outside the country, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara was represented by Haja Rhokia Ouattara and Haja Sita Keïta, younger sisters of President Alassane Ouattara, her husband. The honor falls on Hadja Rhokia Ouattara to deliver the message of Mrs. Dominique Ouattara to the people present. Thus, she reminded the audience that last year the First Lady was already anxious to show solidarity with the Muslim community through donations. It is therefore normal this year, she decides to help the Muslim community through this month of fasting and penance. "This year again, she does not intend to remain on the sidelines of this month of sharing and solidarity, because she has decided to support you during this month of prayer and blessing, "said Ms. Rhokia Ouattara. In addition, she urged Muslims to pray in order to get the country definitively back on the track of prosperity. "(…) Although absent from the country, she asked me to tell you she is with you. And she supports you in prayer every day. But more importantly, she wants your prayers during this month to go up to the Very High so that He waters our country with His blessings, "she urged. These associations left with arms full of presents.
