National Excellence Day : 78 laureates receive awards at the 11th edition of the National Excellence day award

President Alassane Ouattara presided over the 11th edition of the solemn ceremony of the National Excellence day award, this Monday, August 5, 2024, at the Presidential Palace in Plateau.

The ceremony witnessed the presence of First Lady Dominique Ouattara, Vice-President Tiémoko Meyliet Koné, Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé, as well as the Presidents of institutions, Government Ministers and several other personalities.

 77 prizes were awarded to 78 people highlighting the outstanding contributions of citizens from a variety of sectors, including biotechnology, information and communication technologies, arts and culture, education and health. These awards recognize the talents and commitment of the winners, who have been working tirelessly for the well-being of our people and the development of our nation.

Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé, Chairman of the National Committee for the National Excellence Day, took this opportunity to thank the President of the Republic for instilling the value of hard work in Ivorians. As proof of this, the Prime Minister cited the enthusiastic interest of people in applying for the 11th edition of the event.  Indeed, the Prime Minister revealed that 1,486 people had applied for this 11th edition. This year’s event featured a number of innovations. In addition to submitting applications, the committee introduced online registration for the first time. The Prime Minister also took stock of the prize’s 10 years of existence. According to him, in 10 editions, a total of 730 winners have been rewarded.

The President of the Republic, H.E. Mr. Alassane Ouattara, warmly congratulated the this year’s winners. “I encourage you to continue in your commitment with more abnegation and determination to participate in the development of our beloved country”, he declared. The President of the Republic encouraged Ivorians to be more hardworking.  According to him, great nations have developed thanks to hard work. He encouraged the laureates to pursue their quest for excellence.

Each winner received a trophy, a cheque for 10 million CFA francs and a certificate signed by the Head of State. The 2024 edition of the National Excellence day award will go down in history as a brilliant celebration of talent and merit, reinforcing our collective commitment to a bright future.
