New Year Festivities in Guitry

First Lady Mrs. Dominique Ouattara organized Wednesday, December 25, 2013 in Kouta, a village in the department of Guitry, festivities for the new year celebrations.

The donations ceremony of the wife of the head of state took place in the school yard of the public elementary school of Kouta.

Many children and women from Kouta , Guitry and surrounding villages such as Brahiri , Téhiri, as well as all the camps that are linked to this locality got gifts Mrs. Dominique Ouattara.

Mrs. Dominique Ouattara was represented at the ceremony by Ms. Patricia Yao Sylvie, her Chief of Staff, also a native of Kouta.

Clearly, more than 500 children received gifts from the underprivileged children mom. Besides these many gifts given to children, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara also thought of the whole population.

Indeed, she offered agricultural equipment, wheelbarrows, watering cans, one hundred ( 100) machetes and one hundred (100 ) files to her brothers and sisters of Kouta. She also offered them Moses baskets for newborn babies; incentive kits. Pupils have not been forgotten during this ceremony. Indeed, school canteens of all inspections received 574 plates; basins; 720cups, spoons, cardboard boxes of chalk and educational equipment. In addition to the many gifts they have received, the children of Kouta and its surrounding villages were entitled to entertainment such as music, games, tug of war, tug of war, sack race, and magic.
