On the sidelines of the 19th Francophonie Summit , which opened at the Château de Villers-Cotterêts on Friday October 4, 2024, the President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, Alassane Ouattara, and his wife, the First Lady Dominique Ouattara, were invited to a prestigious gala dinner hosted by the French President, Emmanuel Macron, and First Lady Brigitte Macron. The dinner took place at the Elysee Palace on the evening of the same day.

The gala evening brought together several heads of state, leaders and influential figures from the French-speaking countries. The dinner provided an ideal opportunity for informal exchanges between participants, in an atmosphere conducive to the consolidation of diplomatic ties and cooperation between nations.

President Alassane Ouattara, accompanied by First Lady Dominique Ouattara, was warmly welcomed by Emmanuel Macron and Brigitte Macron at the Elysee Palace.

The participation of the Ivorian presidential couple in this event illustrates the important role that Côte d’Ivoire plays among the French-speaking countries, and its desire to strengthen its relations with France, while at the same time becoming actively involved in the global issues addressed during the summit.
