On the Sidelines of the 71st Session of the UN General Assembly

It's a tradition. Mrs. Ban Soon-Taek, spouse of Mr. Ban Ki-Moon, Secretary General of the United Nations offered her traditional tea-reception, Tuesday, September 20, 2016. The event took place at the official residence of the SG of the UN, at 57th Street in New York. This reception in closed proceedings was attended by 171 guests carefully chosen, mostly composed of the spouses of heads of state and government, queens and princesses. In a splendid evening dress in navy blue and white, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, First Lady of Côte d’Ivoire attended the meeting, which lasted nearly an hour. An hour that allowed the wife of Ivorian head of state to meet again Mrs. Ban Ki-Moon, Mrs. Lordina Dramani Mahama, First Lady of Ghana and Chairperson of the Organization of African First Ladies Against AIDS (OAFLA) and many other spouses of heads of states. The meeting took place in a friendly and warm environment.
