Organization of the 9th Pan-African Conference National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies

Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, First Lady of Côte d'Ivoire and Honorary President of the Red Cross of Côte d'Ivoire received a delegation of this humanitarian organization on Thursday, February 16^th, 2017, at her Cabinet in Cocody. The delegation of the Red Cross of Côte d'Ivoire was led by Mrs. Souarey Koné Karidjata, President of the institution. This meeting aimed, for the delegation of the Red Cross, to take stock of the progress of the organization of the 9^th Pan-African national societies of the Red Cross. A Pan-African Conference to be held on the banks of the Ebrié Lagoon from April 09^th to April 12^th, 2017.

 "This morning's audience with the First Lady, Honorary President of the Red Cross, was an information meeting. As you know, the Government has agreed that Côte d'Ivoire will host the 9^th Pan-African Conference of the national societies of the Cross and the Red Crescent, from 09 to 12 April 2017.

Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, Honorary President of the Red Cross, agreed to sponsor this humanitarian meeting. It is important that we come often, take stock of the progress made in organizing this meeting. (…) We also took this opportunity to ask for her blessings and her support as Honorary President of the Red Cross of Côte d'Ivoire, "stressed Mrs. Sourey, President of the Red Cross Côte d ' Ivoire.

During this audience, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, Honorary President of the Red Cross, reiterated to her hosts her desire to associate her image to this important event. She reaffirmed her presence at the opening ceremony of the meeting.”
