Pèpressou

Le couple Présidentiel fait de nombreux dons dans le village natal d’Henri Konan Bédié
They did not want to miss this stage for any reason. 24 hours before the end of the state visit in the Iffou region, President Alassane Ouattara and his wife wished, on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, to greet the populations of Pèpressou, native village of President Aimé Henri Konan Bédié. When he arrived at the main road of Pèpressou from M'Bahiakro, President Alassane Ouattara has been welcomed by a crowd massed on the main road of the village by his elder Henri Konan Bedié. It is a historic moment that both great statesmen wished to immortalize this moment as they mingle with the crowd, hands in hands.
Like a pilgrimage to the village that gave birth the second Ivorian President, the Presidential couple wanted to as a milestone in their transition to Pèpressou. Thus, the First Lady Dominique Ouattara, well-known for her generosity, has given many donations to the populations of the locality. She offered in-kind donations valued at 60 million CFA francs to the public. The population of Pepressou received a tractor; of motobagages; and various equipment for multiple domains and levels of society. In addition she has offered the sum of F CFA one million for women and a million CFA francs to the youth of the vilage. President Alassane Ouattara, meanwhile, offered F CFA 2 million to the traditional chiefs and notables.
The population of Pèpressou has, in turn, offered food products; an oxen and baoulé (local) loincloths to the Presidential couple.
