Presentation of Condolences
A busy afternoon for the First Lady, Madame Dominique Ouattara. In fact, the Spouse of the Head of State wanted to present her condolences on Friday, January 06th, 2017, to the family of actress Marie-Louise Asseu at the Riviera Palmeraie and to Mrs. Irié Lou Colette family in Angré for the death of her husband, Mr. Kouadio Mathias.
To accomplish this, the wife of the Head of State was accompanied by Mr Achi Patrick, Minister of Economic Infrastructure, Mr Maurice Kouakou Bandama, Minister of Culture and the Francophonie, Mrs Yao Euphrasie Kouassi, Minister for the Promotion of Women, the Family and Child Welfare, Mr Diakité Coty Souleymane, PCA of the Road Maintenance Fund (FER) and many others.
The delegation of the First Lady went first to the Riviera Palmeraie at the home of actress Marie-Louise Asseu who died last December 7th, at the Indénié Polyclinic of the Plateau. During this visit, where the members of the actress's family and the VIPs of cinema and Ivorian screens were present, Mr Patrick Achi Jerome, spokesperson for Mrs Dominique Ouattara, expressed all the pain that struck the presidential couple following the announcement of the death of the artist. "The presidential couple was shocked when they heard of the death of their daughter Marie-Louise Asseu," he revealed before insisting on the affinity between the artist and the First Lady because of her participation in the campaign to sensitize women during the ceremonies for the delivery of the checks of the Support Fund for the Women of Côte d'Ivoire (FAFCI). Beyond the simple "yako", Mrs. Dominique Ouattara wanted to take an active part in the organization of the funeral of the actress. Thus, she gave the sum of 5 million CFA francs to her family in order to help them in the organization of the funeral of the disappeared.
