First Lady Dominique Ouattara, President of the National Oversight Committee for Actions against Trafficking, Exploitation and Child Labor (CNS), sponsored, Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the Golf Hotel, the opening ceremony of the sub-regional consultation on the 8.7 alliance of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Organized by the International Labor Office (ILO), the consultation theme: "Joining forces to end child labor, forced labor, modern slavery and human trafficking." Thus, to address the thorny issue of the fight against these phenomena, 11 experts from West and North Africa agreed to meet on the banks of the Ebrié lagoon on September 8-9, 2016.
Godmother of the ceremony, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara took advantage of this forum to share her faith in the establishment of an alliance in order to fight effectively against child labor, human trafficking and modern slavery. So many thorny issues that justify her commitment to lead the CNS. "I am convinced that the organization of this sub regional consultation will lay the foundation for a global alliance against child labor and trafficking, a phenomenon that unfortunately affects most of our countries," Madame Dominique Ouattara hoped. For the wife of Ivorian Head of State, this prior condition is all the more essential because it will better address the issue of remediation of these phenomena. "By pooling our energies, we could come to unite the efforts of member countries to achieve sustainable development goals set by the ILO. We hope that other countries will join us in this alliance of players already committed to take more effective actions to reduce the prevalence of child labor and forced labor worldwide.
