The Departments of Kani and Koro

La Première Dame, Dominique Ouattara témoigne sa solidarité aux populations

Following the steps of Kounahiri, Dianra and Mankono the delegation of the Cabinet of the First Lady, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara visited, on Monday, July 20th, 2015, the cities of Kani and Koro. In other words, starting thus their visit in the Bafing region after that of Béré.

As in previous steps, it's with hands full of gifts that Madame Patricia Yao Sylvie, representative of Mrs. Dominique Ouattara made the trip to these two localities.

It is by the department of Kani the screw from office of the First Lady began their journey in the Bafing. In this locality, it is the grounds of the sub-prefecture that served as hosting venue for the ceremony of the gifts of the First Lady. In the name of the wife of the Head of State, Mrs Patricia Yao Sylvie offered gifts of over CFA francs 150 million. These donations are basically composed of agricultural equipment for women’s cooperatives and groups, for restaurant managers, traders, hairdressers and seamstresses. In the social area, the future women’s center of Kani received material that allows it to be operational even before its opening. The donations have been delivered to kindergartens, grammar, secondary schools and to school canteens in the city.

In the field of health, urban the health center in the sub-prefecture of Morondo, located 64 km from Kani has received an ambulance. The urban health center of Kani received medical equipment which will enhance its technical platform and allow it to cope with patient flows. The value of these donations: CFA francs 100 million. In addition to these gifts in kind, the emissary of the First Lady revealed that 50 million CFA francs have been placed in a microfinance structure in kani under the Support Fund for the Women of Côte d'Ivoire (FAFCI). This fund will enable the women of this town to undertake income generating activities. So it’s a total of CFA francs 150 million of donations that the First Lady Dominique Ouattara has graciously made available to the populations of Kani.

At Koro. A locality situated more than 150 km from Séguéla, the delegation of the Office of the First Lady offered gifts worth more than 100 million CFA francs. As in Kani in the morning, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara has offered donations taking into account all the social and professional and economic of the department. During this stage, Mrs. Patricia Yao Sylvie handed to people on behalf of the First Lady gifts worth more than CFA francs 100 million.
