The Future of Youth in Africa
The curtain fell this Thursday, August 27, 2015 on the 17th edition of the Summer University of the Movement of the Compagnies of France (MEDEF). Indeed, for two (02) days, from August 26th to 27th 2015, the bosses of French companies gathered on the campus of HEC in Jouy-en-Josas, in France, around the theme: "Formidable youth." The main concern of this edition of the MEDEF Summer University, the issue of the future of the youth, was at the heart of different discussions and panels. It’s a topical problematic as the proportion of youth yearning-nowaydays-for jobs throughout the world in general and Africa in particular, is high. In order to provide new and multisectoral insights to this theme, several guests have contributed to the understanding of the theme of this 17th edition of the Medef. Among these, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan, the Senegalese artist Youssou N'Dour, Minister-Counselor to President Macky Sall, Matthew Hancock, British Minister of State Reform and finally, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, the first lady of Côte d’Ivoire, President and founder of Children of Africa.
