The Minister of Mines, Petroleum, and Energy lost his mother: First Lady Dominique Ouattara offers her condolences to the family of Minister Mamadou Sangafowa Coulibaly

The First Lady, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, paid a visit to the Minister of Mines, Petroleum and Energy, Mamadou Sangafowa Coulibaly on tuesday, september 9, 2025, to express, on behalf of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Alassane Ouattara, and on her own behalf, her sincere condolences following the passing of his mother, Hadja Silué Dofoungognon Karidja.
For this occasion, the First Lady was accompanied by a large delegation including Mr. Mamadou Touré, Minister for Youth Promotion, Professional Integration, and Civic Service, Ms. Sarah Sacko Fadiga, Vice President of the Senate, as well as several other dignitaries.
On behalf of the presidential couple, Minister Mamadou Touré took the floor in which he conveyed the support of the First Lady and the Head of State to Minister Sangafowa Coulibaly and his entire family, who have been through a difficult time. He also recalled the long-standing fraternal ties between President Alassane Ouattara and Minister Sangafowa Coulibaly, emphasizing that the First Lady had come to express her sympathy as a member of the Coulibaly family.
Paying tribute to the deceased, Minister Mamadou Touré honored the memory of an exceptional woman. “Hadja Silué Dofoungognon Karidja lived a useful life,” he said.
In the same spirit of solidarity, Minister Mamadou Touré, on behalf of the First Lady, donated 5 million CFA francs to support the family in welcoming the many visitors who came to offer their condolences.
On behalf of the bereaved family, Mr. Lanzéni Coulibaly, the family spokesperson, expressed his family’s gratitude to the presidential couple for their compassion and constant support since the announcement of her death.
Hadja Silué Dofoungognon Karidja passed away on September 1, 2025. She was buried on Friday, September 5, in her hometown Kafiokaha, Korhogo.
