The murder of a little boy
The story arouses strong emotions among Ivorians. The kidnapping and murder of Traoré Aboubakar Sidick a.k.a Bouba in tragic conditions has caused more shock and indignation due to the cruelty of the crime and the resurgence of cases of missing children and abduction.
Moved by this story, the First Lady, Dominique Ouattara paid a visit on Sunday, March 04, 2018, to the Traore family in Williamsville, to express all her compassion and that of the Head of state. She hoped that the perpetrators will be brought to justice. « I have come to express my compassion and that of the President of the Republic to the Traore family who lost their son, grandson and nephew in horrible circumstances. I am particularly moved and upset by this dreadful crime. I hope the offenders will be severely punished in order to prevent such crime in our country. I take the opportunity to express my condolences to the whole family, to the whole Williamsville neighborhood and to all the people. May his soul rest in peace ».
She came with a strong delegation composed of Mrs. Mariatou Koné, Minister of Solidarity, Women and Child Protection, Mrs. Jeanne Peuhmond, Vice-President of the National Assembly, Diakité Coty Souleymane, President of the Board of Directors of the Road Maintenance Fund (FER), Mrs. Sarah Sacko Fadiga, Mrs. Sita Keïta, younger sister of the Head of State and several of his collaborators.
Diakité Coty Souleymane, President of the Board of Directors of the Road Maintenance Fund and spokesperson for the delegation of the First Lady expressed the condolences of the Presidential couple to the bereaved family. He said the Presidential couple has been deeply touched by the terrible news of the kidnapping and assassination of Bouba.
