Toumodi
It has been a very busy day for Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, the founder of Children of Africa. After the official ceremony of the delivery of the FAFCI Checks to 3000 women in the Bélier region yesterday (Support Fund for Côte d' Ivoire Women), the First Lady, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara has still spoken from her heart. Indeed, the Ivorian Mother Teresa made, Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, donations of food and non-food supplies worth F CFA 10 million to Toumodi municipal school group, proceeding at the time to the equipment of the kindergarten and the school canteen, kindly offered by Children of Africa Foundation, to the municipal school. Specifically, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara offered educational materials, maintenance equipment, food, sports equipment and games for the kindergarten and the school canteen school. The mother of the poor children went further offering F CFA 500,000 to the “Coges” of the school (the local managing staff of the school) ; F CFA 500,000 to the teachers and F CFA 1 million to the pupils. A total of CFA francs 2 million.
Taking this opportunity, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara reaffirmed the importance of education for kids. For the kids’ mom, preschool, in particular, is crucial in that it prepares children for school life. In addition, she urged the pupils to work hard and to also have respect for their teachers and parents. Accessing the grievances of the pupils, the founder of "Children of Africa" has promised not only to provide a library for the children, but to also fence the whole school by the end of next year. That promise raised a thunder of applause.
