Mrs. Dominique Ouattara visited, Wednesday, December 11th, 2013 on the sidelines of the state visit in the Bélier region, the new SOS village of Yamoussoukro.

This center will accommodate 7 children per family house. It consists of 12 family houses, giving a total of 84 children. The other particularity of this village is that it has been built for 0-6 years children, war orphans or victims of sexual abuse and emotional abuse during the war underwent by our country. In addition, the center has a multi-purpose center, a kindergarten, a primary school and a medical center. In short, it features all the amenities for the psycho-social development and the psycho-social care management for children.

The construction of Yamoussoukro SOS village began in July 2012.
